Neil has spent his life pursuing creativity across several mediums including music, audio production and today through working with timber.
Trained in traditional joinery methods by esteemed Australian maker Phoebe Everill, Neil combines a love of hand-tool work with the practicality of machining to produce unique pieces tailored to the client’s brief.
The commission process steps though a detailed design discussion around functionality, existing furnishings and timber choice. Detailed working drawings are then produced for sign-off. Work can then begin on the piece.
Every commission is a constant strive for technical perfection while still allowing the timber to ‘speak’ throughout the process, anticipating moments of inspired improvisation and a final piece that leaves both maker and client satisfied for decades to come.
